Thanksgiving Day, November 27th
Many businesses are closed for the holiday, but here is what is open:
Indigenous Peoples' Sunrise Ceremony is held on Alcatraz Island commemorating the Indigenous peoples 1969-71 occupation. This is a free event with a $15 fee for the adult boat ticket, assuming the Government Shutdown has ended.
The beautiful and world famous San Francisco Botanical Garden is free on Thanksgiving Day.
Ring in, and faceplant on, the holiday at the Union Square Ice Rink.

Cobbs Comedy Club
SNL Alumni, Kevin Nealon graces the stage of Cobbs Comedy Club for one onght only. Join him on Friday, November 28th. Doors open at 7:00pm
MUSIC
The Masonic Auditorium
Sarah McLachlan, whose music you known from late night abused animal commercials is actually a well known musician. She will perform for one night at the beloved Masonic Auditorium on November 28th.
THEATER
SFPlayhouse
One of Steven Sondheim's IS the American Songbook but one of his most forgettable musicals, Into the Woods, performs at the SFPlayhouse until January 17th. Try and stay awake.

ART
The de Young Museum
San Francisco's premier art museum finally has an exhibition that is relevant from this century. The Art of Manga, the Japanese comic and graphic novel's predominant style, runs through January 25th.
