While the rest of the world celebrates Carnival and Mardi Gras The 2025 San Francisco Carnaval Festival & Parade celebrates it in May for some reason. 

Regardless, come to the Mission District May 24th and May 25th,  and experience Carnival, San Francisc style.

Friday, May 18th, the great Warfield Auditorium welcomes Shpongle, with guest performers, Cosmic Trigger.  I don't know anything about them, but I love the name, Shpongle, so it must be worth checking out.

Japanese anime meets legitimate theater with NARUTO: The Symphonic Experience.  Selected clips from over 220 episodes are synchronized to a live orchestra performing Toshio Masuda's original score.

San Francisco's newest comedy club specializes specialty themed comedy nights.  Every Thursday is Black Laughs Matter, a showcase of the best black comedians in the bay area.
